We had A burnt burger, Swedish meatballs with a liver flavor. Beef bourgeois horrible not marinated and with a rotten taste,. Fish was good, walleye, Hot Totti was bland, wine cellar left the wine with a shellack taste.
This has been one of my go-to restaurants when I’m up north for my whole life. Love the atmosphere and the views from the dining room. Great food, I have to say my favorite is the chicken wild rice soup!
Will not be back. Get a new chief.
Pretty resort, the outdoor space is beautiful. Dining room has very average food and doesn't have much of an ambiance. Nothing impressive about the experience other than the grounds that the resort is on. And a reasonably priced Tom Collins compared to the Twin Cities.
This place was pretty good. The wild rice and ham soup was excellent and the swedish meatballs was a good choice. I had the molten lava cake which was pretty good as well. The view of the lake is fabulous. The down side was the only had basic coffee. At a place this nice, I'd expect to get a latte. It was also a bit pricey.
when I first walked in I was thrilled with the views of the lake and the total feel of the restaurant. However, when we received our food it was a huge disappointment. We had a group of 7, one small bread basket, never refilled, the menu made the entrees sound fabulous. but that was not the case. I had the potato crusted walleye, first of all, no sign of any crust, and so bland I had to salt and pepper the food, something I cannot remember the last time I had to do that in a restaurant. All this for a dinner that was way far overpriced. I hope you can expand your menus and improve your food, and not waste the lovely view and restaurant.
