Wonderful ticket staff! Amanda was exceptionally helpful and polite. Slopes fast and fun with a mix of tree trails along with black diamond runs. Good times!
I have been to Lutsen Mountains many times over the years and by far this one of the BEST Midwest Ski Resorts around. With it's high verts, 3 peaks, and gondolas that take you across above all the beautiful landscape. You can do anything from cross-country, downhill and moguls. You will see nature in it's finest. Sleeping arrangements go from the very simple to the very extravagant. We stayed in a middle of the road chalet, but a jacuzzi was still a requirement. Also recommend trying the jacuzzi/pool over on Moose Mountain Road doing the POLAR BEAR ROLL... It will definitely wake you...
Lutsen mountains was a great place to go snowboarding. First time visiting and I was impressed with number and size of the runs. The hours seem pretty short though. They closed their lifts at 4 or earlier and didn't have any night boarding. Still plan to visit again though.
Great skiing, recent updates to the gondola makes moving between mountains quick. Incredible views from the Chalet on top of Moose mountain. Plenty of activities in the summer as well, including the Alpine Slide
I'm an avid skier growing up on the slopes in Montana, and was so impressed by the quality of runs and the entire setup of Lutsen Mountains. The kids had great lessons and came away with new skills and confidence. It's a bit of a drive from the Cities, but so worth it for a weekend getaway on some great snow and elevation change for MN.
